India continues to show the poor results in the field of education. The situation is miserable as the standard of education is deteriorating. This falling situation is manifest in the recently out list of Asia Varsity Rankings by Times of Higher Education.
In this recently released list, India has performed badly as just 9 of its institutes have managed to be in the list of Top 100 Educational Institutes of Higher Learning. China has topped this list with 21 its universities appearing in this list of most prestigious universities.
The second slot is obtained by Japan with 19 universities which is followed by South Korea with 13 institutions could get their names included. IISc Bangalore has turned out to be the Top Ranked Institute of India which has secured 37th slot in Asia’s 100 Top Universities. IISc Bangalore has replaced Panjab University for No 1 Position.

- University of Hongkong

- Tsinghua University (China)

Last year India had 10 Universities included in this list
It is a cause of concern that India has lost ground in rankings. Three institutions which made it to the 100 top universities last year have failed to make slot this time. said Rankings Editor Phil Baty.
He also praised China for making improvement in the field of education. He has asked other nations to follow the China’s Educational policy.
