HBSE has declared 2017 winter vacation till 8th of January. In the beginning the weather was quite good. However from 31st of December, it has taken a swift turn. The weather has turned foggy and extremely cold. So there is the news in some local newspaper and being circulated at whatsapp that he govt has extended the winter vacation till 14th of January 2018. According to this news, the govt has circulated written order to this effect on Friday.
Breaking News Trending on Whats App/ Tweet now – According to new decision of Haryana Govt. Education Minister has passed new order to extend Winter Vacation till 14th of Jan 2018 due to unbearable cold prevailed in the state. However, there is no news at DSE website. However, Education Minister’s Tweet confirms this news.
Note – Vacation is only for first to eighth classes. For 9th to 12th classes, there shall be the classes with a bit changed timing.
Timing for 9th to 12th classes during winter vacation – 10:30 am to 3:30pm
Education Minister Ram Vilas Sharma told the reporters that the govt has taken this decision to save the children from winter-borne diseases. He strongly said that if any govt and private school are found opened despite the govt order, the school will face strict action. District commissioners will make sure that this order is implemented properly.Everybody knows that the schools had to be re-opened on 9th of January.
Some schools had also violated the govt rule by arranging extra classes for board classes. But due to the strictness of the administration, they had to stop those classes. They gave the plea that the studies of board classes (10th and 12th ) would be affected by this decision of the govt. So they were forced to violate the decision of the govt. The exams for board classes begin in the first week of March. There is also the rumor that non-board exams may begin in February.
This is the fun time for the students enjoying their holidays in blankets and quilts. However, we advise them avail this time at home. Syllabi is finished for all classes. They can prepare it at home. They must not waste this time in watching TV and playing video-games at mobiles.

Please extend the January winter holidays.. Some Schools in faridabad are not follow the rules of HBSE.. Thus, strict action must be taken against them..
