There are thousands of aspirants who apply for the HAU Entrance Exam for admission to B.Sc ( Hons) Agriculture. These are 4 and 6 years’ programmes. However there is no entrance test for getting admission to B.Sc ( Home Science) Hons.
The Entrance Tests for B.Sc Agriculture ( Hons) take place for 4 and 6 years’ programmes in June/ July every year. The eligibility for the admission to these courses is 12th with Science.

HAU B.Sc Entrance ( 4 Years’ Programme) Syllabus/ Style –
Though the level of exam is up to 12th class, it needs a good practice. Check the Pattern of the Exam –
- Biology / Math or Agriculture- This portion shall carry 100 questions. Each question shall be of 1/2 mark making it a paper of 50 marks. The test shall take place in English Medium only.
- Physics – 50 Questions of 25 Marks
- Chemistry – 50 Questions of 25 Marks
In this way, total questions shall be 200 with 100 marks. The examinees shall have to complete the paper in 150 minutes.
B.Sc Agriculture 6 Years’ ( 2+4) Programme Exam Pattern –
For admission to this programme, there shall be the following subjects in the Entrance Exam –
- Genera Aptitude in Agriculture – Total questions shall be 60 of 60 Marks.
- General Science – There will be 40 questions of 40 Marks.
For the examinees of this test, the medium shall be Hindi/ English. The level of the exam shall be of 10th standard.
Is there Negative Marking in the Entrance Exams ?
No, there shall be no negative marking in both entrance exams mentioned above.
What are the Qualifying Marks in B.Sc Agriculture Entrance Exams ?
The candidates shall have to secure at least 40% marks aggregate for qualifying this test. However, SC candidates need to get only 38% as their qualifying score.
