Haryana Govt has postponed the Haryana TET (HTET) for PGT category which was scheduled on 20th of Feb 2016 with immediate effect. The govt took this decision after having marathon meeting with the Haryana Board Officials. Before taking this decision, the govt reviewed the law and order situation prevailed in the state.
The decision of postponing this exam was taken seeing the wide agitation by Jat community in the state. The agitators have blocked the roads and rail tracks for pressing for their demands for the Reservation under OBC Quota.
So it is not possible for the examinees to reach the examination centre for 20th Feb HTET. They may have inconvenience in this regard. The Haryana Govt has already announced the two days holidays for the Govt Schools and Colleges due the circumstances caused by this agitation.
This is for the second time that the HTET for PGT Level has been postponed. Earlier also it was scheduled on 14th November when it was cancelled due the answer key leakage in Jind. This second time putting off of the Haryana TET has caused a great inconvenience and concern among the examinees.
They are fed up preparing for this TET which is compulsory for getting jobs of teachers in the state. IT is well-mentioning that the Recruitment Process for Teaching posts both TGTs and PGTs is going on in the state.
The govt has allowed even those candidates who haven’t cleared the HTET to be the part of the this process. The condition is that the candidates must have cleared the HTET during the Interview. So this putting off means the Recruitment process shall also be delayed.
Now the New Schedule for the HTET is not revealed. We shall update this post with new HTET date as soon as it is declared by the govt. In the meantime, we advise the candidates to continue their preparation as the govt will certainly conduct this test very soon after it has solved issues with the agitators.
