Update Dec. 2021 –
The PSSSB may take out 900+ posts in PSSSB soon. There may be written exam for selection. Age should be between 18-37. The candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree or Graduation. The form filling date or job notification link may be activated soon.

PSSSB Panchayat Secretary Syllabus / Exam Pattern

The Parts of the Paper are – General Knowledge ( 25 Marks), Mental Ability ( 25 Marks), Language Proficiency with Two Languages – Punjabi ( 13Marks) & English ( 12 Marks) and Mathematics ( 25 Marks). Total Marks 100.

Controversy regarding Panchayat Exam
The last date for applying for the posts was 6th of Sept 2016. The Board did hastily to conduct the exam on 2nd of October. However this exam date didn’t go down well with the teachers. The exam shall fall on Sunday coinciding with 2nd October which is a National holiday. Some teachers grumble that owing to the exam,they will have to reach the examination a day before it. The board could have chosen other day.
However, Kamal Kumar, Secretary, PSSSB has defended this decision saying that it is impossible to postpone this exam expected to to be taken by around 1 lac candidates. It is Sunday and that is another thing that it falls on 2nd of October. It is ironical that highly qualified candidates such as M.Phil/ PhD and Technical Degree holders had applied for these posts.
