This is the breaking news that UP Govt has cancelled the much-hyped Peon Recruitment Selection Process due to receiving of a large no of applications.
Now new Notification shall be out soon after making new Rules for Selection. A Recruitment-related committee has been formed to send its report to the Chief Secretary Mr Alok Ranjan.
After this report, a decision will be take place to adopt a new format for the Examination.

The Selection had to take place on the basis of Interview. And if the Interview had to be the sole criteria and even 10 Boards formed, it would take at least four years to complete the whole procedure.
Though the minimum Qualification for this Peon’s Post was just 5th Pass, there were many candidates who were PhD, Master’s in various Subjects the interview of whose for the Posts of clerks was the big challenge.
Why was the Recruitment Process cancelled ?
The UP Sachivalaya Peon Selection Committee is afraid that if the Selection of the Peon takes place as per the Old Norms that is holding the Exam also, the candidates can go to Court as the new Criteria for the Selection was only Interview.
That’s why after considering these points, the Committee has taken the decision to cancel this ongoing Selection Process for Peons. The New Recruitment will be out after new Selection Format.
It was interesting that for these 368 Posts of Clerks around 23 lakh candidates had applied. The essential qualification was 5th class pass and the candidates must have known how to ride bicycles. But the girls and the handicapped people were relax from these conditions.
